What is OHSAS 18001?

OHSAS 18001 is a voluntary standard for Health & Safety management systems. The standard is defined to enable every business to develop its own bespoke Health and Safety system, to reduce risk and increase legal compliance. 

It enables the company to manage its operational risks and improve performance. It also provides guidance on health and safety assessment and how to manage the health and safety aspects of our business activities more effectively, while taking into careful consideration accident prevention, risk reduction and the well-being of the employees and other stakeholders.
