PROFITRACE 2 – the pocket-sized maintenance and troubleshooting tool
Validating a PROFIBUS network, fault-finding and performance measuring are essential for its ongoing success. The pocket-sized PROFITRACE 2 uses the latest generation bus monitor technology and offers the most powerful analysis capabilities available on the market today. It is an outstanding software tool and makes predictive maintenance and asset management possible.
Technicians can use the PROFITRACE 2 to validate and troubleshoot a complete PROFIBUS network –significantly reducing equipment, weight, costs and required knowledge. The advanced USB hardware (PROFICORE Ultra) is internally equipped with a high speed digital oscilloscope and can capture bus signals running at 12 Mbps.
Both typical and random errors can be captured and logged, including:
- Noise
- Reflections
- Voltage drops
- Termination problems
- Double addresses
- Wire breaks
- Configuration faults
- Overshoots
- Error telegrams
- Repeats
The results captured by the PROFITRACE 2 can be exported to create detailed industry-standard reports.
PROFIHUB – for high speed PROFIBUS DP networks
The PROFIHUB is a highly advanced, flexible and robust network component for PROFIBUS DP installations. It is used to implement long, multi-device spur lines and backbone structures with star/tree segments in IP 20 or IP65 applications.
The PROFIHUB ensures that the strict rules concerning spur lines are met, and means that costly multiple DP repeaters are not required. It has the functionality of five galvanic isolated transparent repeaters, allowing network structures with extended spurlines that can each handle a maximum of 31 devices.
Key PROFIHUB features:
- Five isolated channels (repeater segments)
- Transparent for all PROFIBUS DP protocols from 9600bps to 12 Mbps (automatic detection)
- Up to 1200m spur line length (depending ontransmission speed)
- No limit on serial placement or cascading of PROFIHUBs

- Configurable grounding system (direct orcapacitive)
