Whisky Galore... the best proof!
This distillery produces one of the world’s most admired single malt whiskies. It has the capacity to produce up to 6,000,000 litres of whisky a year. The 3 main processes involved in whisky production are brewing, distillation and maturation. The distillery required a control system for the brewing process which involves converting the starch content of barley to sugar, which is then combined with yeast to produce a weak alcoholic brew called ‘wash’.
The distillery's electrical project engineer wanted an easy-maintenance solution – essential on a process production line. Saftronics’ Sivacon withdrawable motor control centre, with its flexibility and high stacking density, proved to be the ideal solution. We are now looking forward to expanding our work with other distilleries and similar industries, and welcome all enquiries.
