Four of our apprentices enjoyed the launch event of the Leeds Manufacturing Festival this week at the Leeds City College Printworks campus.
The event is run by the Leeds Manufacturing Alliance, supported by a group of sponsors. The festival will bring greater awareness to the depth of career opportunities within manufacturing that exist across our region.
Saftronics, sit on the steering committee for the Leeds Manufacturing Alliance and are very proud of our apprenticeship scheme, as we fully recognise the skills our young apprentices have to offer.
Our 2017-18 intake of apprentices will be bolstered by a further four school leavers in the coming year as we continue to roll out the apprentice scheme across more areas of our business.
during their apprenticehips they will be given the opportunity to work on Motor Control Centres, LV Switchboards and utilise Siemens components.
The festival, taking place during October 2019, is offering a series of events opening the doors of manufacturers to young people, schools and local communities.
