Saftronics are very proud of the apprenticeship scheme that we run. We have a long history of recognising talent within the business and nurturing this by offering training and opportunities for career progression.  Many of our senior management team, and even directors, started as apprentices themselves. We have welcomed a cohort of school leavers, who will spend 3-5 years gaining skills at our headquarters in Leeds. Through the apprenticeship programme, they will receive hands-on experience on the shop floor, in electrical design, software and tendering as well as receiving mentoring from experts across the business.

Real-world experience and a specialist industry accredited course

This real-world experience will be supplemented with a specialist industry accredited course at Leeds College that the apprentices will attend to learn all aspects of engineering.

Jonathan Robinson, Technical Lead said “We support our apprentices every step of the way. From the very start, they receive on-the-job training in the workshop and gain experience in real-world working environments. They’re guided through their studies and given the chance to put the theory they’re learning into practice at every available opportunity.

“We really recognise what young apprentices have to offer and are committed to investing in the engineering talent of the future.”
