Following issues with their previous preferred vendor, Innospec reached out to Saftronics to provide support and potentially supply new Low Voltage Switchgear for on-going Electrical Network upgrade work.
Innospec are a global speciality chemicals company focused on bringing to market innovative new technologies. Based in Cheshire, they serve a range of industries across the world ranging from oilfield, refineries to fuels, and power stations to personal care. Safety and reliability are key to their core strategy and hence the Siemens S8 product range fits well due to its ARC containment to IEC/TR 61641, enhanced safety features and reliability track record.
Saftronics met with Innospec on several occasions and tailored the design of the switchgear to their individual requirements. Followed up by site visits, Saftonics were able to gain a full understanding of how the switchgear would be installed and operated. This ensured a smooth progression from initial concept, through final design and pricing to build, FAT, delivery and commissioning.
The project was completed on time and in budget. Innospec were entirely satisfied with the results and have subsequently engaged Saftronics to supply further LV switchgear and retrofit improvements to existing equipment.
